Flabbergasted seems dramatic

Herrington girls aren't known for their subtlety. I may resent being labeled "dramatic" but I have to admit that I'm very reactionary. I respond with vivacity and excitement...and it's rarely quiet. I wouldn't claim to be truly flabbergasted here but, I was surprised (and since Rachel so kindly defined the word for us a few months back, I'm certain I've managed to photograph something that is at least close to "flabbergasting"). It's not often you walk around in a large city and are confronted by roaming and free chickens, that's surprising.

Kept apart by great stretches of distance...in order to stay connected...we've devised a plan.

With one word in mind each week or so, we'll set out with cameras in hand to capture images that encapsulate the word we've selected (the way each of us understands it). We'll snap photos and share them with one another and see what we come up with. We look forward to beautiful perspective, humor, thoughtful insight, striking similarities as well as notable differences. But mostly, we're excited to see representations of one another-our hearts and minds as we create together. We're thrilled to be together in some way, even though we're very far apart.
